It's tucked away and beautiful in any season! Wagner Cove after a snowstorm is prettyyyy beautiful! Bethesda Terrace: A beautiful spot to elope if it rains! It's VERY busy most of the time, but if your elopement gets rained out, this is an awesome alternative. Micro-wedding taking place at Bethesda Terrace during a rainstorm Conservatory Garden: A gorgeous spot in the upper west part of the park, it's an immaculately cared for garden and we would HIGHLY recommend getting a permit. Ridiculously pretty spot to get married - Conservatory Garden in NYC Bow Bridge: Super beautiful for early morning elopements only. It gets realllly crowded and people take turns waiting to take photos on Bow Bridge - it's that pretty and that busy. There are a lot of tourists that come through. Socially distant elopement ceremony on Bow Bridge in Central Park Gantry Plaza State Park: If you're connected to Long Island City in any way in your relationship, Gantry Plaza State Park is a gorgeous place in New York to elope.

Note that the petals were already there when we got there - the ONLY way I would recommend using petals anywhere in NYC would be biodegradable. There are definitely not, which is a bit of a bummer. Pier A/Ferry Dock: Another popular spot right near Ample Hills and across from the River Café, this spot is awesome – just make sure you start your ceremony right after the ferry has left, otherwise it's going to be super loud right in the middle of your vows. Elopement at Pier A/the Ferry Dock in Dumbo Pebble Beach: An awesome spot to mix natural elements with the city skyline. This popular spot is great in the summer but is exxxtrraaa chilly in the winter. Pebble Beach wedding ceremony Central Park Wedding Ceremonies: Central Park is obviously a very popular and super cute spot to elope. There are tons of little places to elope in Central Park, and as we learned with our previous post on eloping in Central Park (thank you r/cy_ko8 for the guidance! ) a permit is a REALLY good idea. Wagner Cove: This is probably the most commonly requested spot to elope.

If you've decided to elope in New York City, there are some awesome spots to consider tying the knot. 2020 brought out so much creativity with its pandemic elopements and mini-monies, and we're sharing some of the best spots we've seen couples host their intimate wedding ceremonies in NYC. We've put together this list to help you decide on elopement locations, with reference photos we've taken from various elopements this year: Dumbo/Brooklyn Bridge Park Elopements: The most common request we've received is for elopements in Brooklyn Bridge Park. Dumbo is truly one of the most photogenic places in Brooklyn. With just a few blocks between the Brooklyn Bridge, Washington St, the NYC skyline, this place is packed with photo ops for your big day. Elopement in Dumbo with only his brother and her mother as the officiant and witness. Jane's Carousel: Lots of couples have eloped at the waterfront by Jane's Carousel. Gives a perfect view of downtown Manhattan and the Brooklyn Bridge. Elopement at Dumbo waterfront by Jane's Carousel.

With a perfect view of the midtown skyline, you can say your vows with the city in the background morning, noon, or night! Soooo pretty! Elopement at Gantry Plaza State Park East River Park/Marsha P Johnson State Park: If you're living in Williamsburg or have previously, you might want to consider East River Park/Marsha P Johnson State Park. Another beautiful view of the NYC skyline, not super crowded (unless it's a summer weekend, haha) and lots of fun spots to go and celebrate afterward! Brooklyn Heights Promenade: This place is just SO pretty. Another spot with skyline views, the downtown view and Brooklyn Bridge are visible from the promenade. You can also see the Statue of Liberty! This place is typically pretty quiet–– well, in respect to NYC at least. "Quiet" is a relative term, haha. Prospect Park: Soooo many gorgeous spots to have a tiny elopement in Prospect Park! So many! Endless! You can pretty much just pick a pretty spot here and go for it. Would like to go on a romantic trip in the US (open to anywhere). Things I'd like: a place where we can do plenty in walking distance activities (outdoor and indoor welcome) somewhere with a nice downtown area (not a crazy bar vibe, just restaurants, Christmas lights... somewhere to just walk around and have a cozy night after dinner or on the way back to the hotel). prefer to stay amongst the activities, but also open to a nice cabin type environment if there are nice views and a somewhat modern place. can rent a car or take public transport, so that shouldn't be a consideration for suggestions TIA for suggestions! Some of our favorites so far: Savannah, GA (ease of walking around, beautiful places to visit) DC (so much to do for free, can walk anywhere, no need for a rental car- Publix transport is easily available) Jupiter, Fl (so many places to eat, laid back vibe) St Augustine, Fl (everything in walking distance, lots of restaurants and shops to visit) New York (Central Park, walking distance everywhere)
