Alcohol effects on brain and body Long-term ill effects of alcohol The World Health Organization (WHO) report states that alcohol is responsible for more than 200 diseases and injuries. Some of the long-term ill effects of alcohol are diabetes, blood pressure, liver disease, cardiovascular disease, oral cancer, breast cancer, risk to unborn babies, and obesity. Harmful effects of alcohol on the body system Alcohol circulates in the body through the bloodstream; starting from the mouth, it travels to the liver, then to the circulatory system, kidney, pancreas, lungs, stomach, and the brain. Mouth: The mouth has many sensitive layers and membranes; heavy intake of alcohol causes oral and throat cancer. Every 7 out of 10 heavy drinkers are affected by mouth cancers. Stomach: Alcohol is readily absorbed in the stomach lining. Some factors such as empty stomach, lack of proteins, and taking carbonated beverages during alcohol intake may catalyze the disruption of the stomach lining and aggravate the amount of gastric juices, forming peptic ulcers.

Hi Everyone, I've been a type 1 diabetic since I was 9 years old (currently 23 going on 24) and as much as I hate to say this, I've been in denial of my disease for most of my teenage and college years, and did the bare minimum to stay alive with my horrid blood sugars. I started wanting to gain control over my diabetes the past 8 months or so, but I began seeing spots in my right eye, January 2021. This led me to get a long-overdue eye check which led to my diagnosis of PDR with no bleeding then. I received 1 shot of lucentis in my right eye and about a week later, my right eye started bleeding, effectively blocking 60% of my vision. After my second injection in March, the bleeding is less viscous, but there is no bleeding. After my most recent check, my left eye has started bleeding also. I haven't received any injections in my left eye yet... but I wanted to reach out to fellow type 1s and other diabetics to see what treatments you underwent and to see how your vision is like now. I'm basically on the path to getting my first virectomy... but I'm also hesitant about getting laser treatment.

Just knowing what PCI is, and what costs are real or not, is a serious amount of firepower for a merchant. Some merchants work hard to get great pricing on their credit card processing, only to realize later that there is more profit in their PCI Non-Compliance than in the processing itself. By knowing about processing and PCI, you are far better able to reduce your bottom line. This article was written with the merchant in mind. What should you pay for Compliance, Non-Compliance, and how can a merchant avoid PCI Fees entirely? What is PCI? PCI stands for Payment Card Industry. The Payment Card Industry (PCI) Security Standards Council is comprised of the major credit card associations (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and Japan Card). These associations have established a set of security standards to ensure that merchants and service providers follow best practices in order to reduce credit card fraud and security breaches.

The services can vary by the web host. But the best web hosts for small business owners usually include customer support to assist webmasters with website setup and technical difficulties. They also include a suite of tools that webmasters can use to maintain and monitor their websites around the clock. Does your small business need a web host? The ability to host a website on a local web server run on a personal computer may have some asking whether or not they need a web host. Hosting a site on a home computer to test and troubleshoot a website before you publish it is okay. But it cannot be used to deliver web pages to a wide audience as reliably or securely as a web host. In some cases, your Internet Service Provider (ISP) may prevent you from giving access to a local site to anyone outside your network. The ability to scale up is why small business owners need both a web host and a domain (a website address) to publish web pages to the Internet. Having a web host is essential for every small business owner that plans to set up a business website — which should be every business owner given how valuable business websites are today.
