Kool Cons didn't fulling get brakes They closed or I would still be working there. I cared for patients coming off of all kinds of addictions. The staff was kind and also helpful to the patients. This is a great company dedicated to helping those individuals who have had their lives affected by drugs and or work life balance and a caring company who want to see you succeed. Typical day at work includes group therapy, individual sessions, progress notes, utilization and review, assessments, and meeting the needs of the residential patients on caseload. The job entailed helping alcohol and drug addicted individuals through their recovery process from the beginning, most horrendous times.

For many clients, the flexibility of outpatient care allows them to remain within a supportive family environment and to keep working. We offer programs that work. Over 80% of Lakeside-Milam clients get help through our outpatient programs. We have over 10, 000 recovering alumni, with thousands of new patient referrals coming from former clients. Lakeside-Milam Recovery Centers offers intensive outpatient programs for adults and adolescents at 9 locations throughout western Washington. Our convenient outpatient programs offer day and night sessions, and are discreetly located in office parks and medical/dental buildings.
This is an awful work environment. The management was horrible. Every morning there was a staff meeting where the program manger would berate and embarrass employees that had made a mistake. He blamed the counselor if a patient had relapsed stating it was our fault. They teach RET, which is fine but they do not endorse any other kind of treatment therapy. They expect you to work at least 10 hours a day but pay you for 8. The medical insurance has a very high deductible, so high, it's like having none. Don't work there. Lakeside milam recovery center is a awesome place for someone who is interested in assisting people from all different cultures in recovering from a couple occuring disorder. Families have the option of attending these sessions in the evenings twice a week and both days on the weekend. The programs do not have dual diagnosis capabilities, however if the resident has a mental illness or is considered not stable during the assessment, Lakeside will help refer them to a nearby mental health clinic. In the inpatient program are eight LCDCs and four or five trainees on-site at any time. Both the adult and adolescent programs also have a nurse, doctor and an ARMT on staff. After discharge from the inpatient program, both adolescent and adult residents are highly encouraged to immediately begin the Intensive Outpatient Program ( IOP). There are nine different outpatient treatment facilities within the Lakeside-Milam network, all with five to eight licensed counselors. Each of their respective treatment programs are identical. Outpatient is divided into three separate phases. The first is IOP, which requires group meetings three to five times a week depending on client's needs, and generally runs four to six weeks.
